The biggest disappointment I've ever had. I expected a good story, with mistery and reasoning but there was only
confusion, with countless inconsistencies in the plot and nonsense explanations.

This anime has a number of holes. But it's epicness let me forgot them.
Although nothing near from Higurashi No Naku Koro ni, it also gave me the tense what-if atmosphere that felt so good i'll get mad waiting for the next episode.
They should've done better visuals.
Umineko no naku koro ni isn't an anime that you really think about. If you over think it you will be confused. Like
example, how can Battler defy wtiches and magic if he himself is being dragged threw 3 "games" like that? how
can he explain being dragged threw time and space like that?
anyways overall its pretty good. It has more of that violence I crave that Higurashi didn't satisfy.
What can I say ? I was a bit disappointed by that anime. The start is absolutely great, I was astonished until the very end of the First part. But, at the middle of the Second Part, it's a wtf part. And that wtf feeling remains during the rest of the show, even if some moments are as amazing as the first episodes. At least, the graphism is perfect all along the show.
This anime is one of the best. Very good story even though sometimes the bad girl turned good and then she turned bad so it was hard to tell what she was feeling towards the guy but in the end I think she came to like him very much.
At first I thought this was overrated, but as i get to the middle part of the series it gets better.
though the ending left for to be desired >.< a lot more.
I find the things in the series gives me quite some inspiration.
and It's a lot like higurashi no naku koro ni.
honestly, when I saw pictures of it before, I've always though beatrice and battler'd end up together xD
For those who didn't realize it, Umineko and Higurashi both were produced by the same studio. They're both insane when it comes to story. Confusing, yes. Some people didn't like Umineko as much, I did. I'd say go for it. Not much to say without spoiling the series. Just make sure you pay attention to details.
this anime just like its predisesors is very good and always has a very uneque way of playing with the characters and their demise i wish there was more anime like this out there ^-^ i would reccamend this anime to anyone who likes the edge of you seat effect and a murder mistory definetly a must see ^-^
The anime gets redundant, and confusing.
The same people die...more than twice... thought it is fairly interesting.
Plot is refreshing, character design so-so, and background story for each character is ok as it is.
Nice! But gets you a bit frustrated at the beginning, but of course it gets clearer and much better.
It's really Lolita galore in this one though! Not that I'm one to complain.
Too bad that my version is censored, it removes some of the charm of this series.

Love it. It has elements of horror to it which I usually don't like, but I really like the ambiance and plot of this show. I love the endless cast of characters and character relationships that seem to keep growing. I also LOVE the BeatoxBattler pairing and especially the witch Bernkastel!!!
I've seen up to episode fifteen. So far its another quality series made by those who gave us Higurashi. I love the suspense it makes and also the violence and blood is not just an add on to support a bad story.
